Congrats to Mirelle

In the last few months several of my friends from AA have moved on to new jobs and my friend Mirelle was the most recent so a few of us got together to celebrate her new job and to catch up. We met at Vino100 - a great wine bar in Uptown. It was great to see everyone and enjoy some wine!

Chicago with the Johnson Family

This is past weekend my family and I went to Chicago. We haven't been anywhere as a family in quite awhile plus it was my parents' anniversary so we decided it was time to plan a trip! We went to a Cubs game, but sadly the day before they won the NL Central. It was so fun to hang out around Wrigley field; there are some great places to watch the game around the stadium. We went on a Chicago Architecture boat tour and it was amazing and very interesting to learn about the history of Chicago's buildings. On Saturday night, we went to Smith & Wollensky steak house to enjoy a wonderful dinner and celebrated my parents' anniversary. All in all it was a great weekend - Chicago is definitely one of my favorite cities so it was great to get back to the Windy City! Below are a few pictures from the weekend.

Football Season

This is the start to my favorite time of the year. The beginning of the football season means Fall is coming which means cooler weather and my favorite holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas)! On Saturday, SMU had their first home game and tailgate of the 2008 season so in an effort to be a better alumni a few friends and I roamed the Boulevard and enjoyed the game. SMU won, which was great to see since that doesn't seem to happen too often. Hopefully, June Jones will be able to help turn our team around. If you live in the Dallas area then you've noticed that the advertising and marketing department definitely thinks so given that just about every billboard and outdoor signage within a 20 mile radius says "June Cometh"! Go Mustangs!

Vail, CO

Last week my Mom and I went to Vail, CO for some R&R! We enjoyed an afternoon at the spa, shopping in Vail village, a gondola ride up to Vail mountain and lots of food! While I was hoping for the weather to be cool it was pretty warm, but very beautiful. We did have some very nice cool mornings and evenings. Here are a few pictures from our trip.
