Dana and Chad's Wedding

My best friend, Kelan, went to Baylor and after college moved to Dallas as well as most of her friends from Baylor. When I graduated a lot of my close friends moved away so I was welcomed into the Baylor clan and we've all become great friends. One of the girls, Dana, got married recently so it was a big caravan to Frisco to celebrate her big day.

The wedding was beautiful and we all enjoyed lots of dancing, drinks, cake and fun times with friends!

Stock the Bar!

My sweet friend Charlotte is getting married in a few weeks. We've been friends since our days at SMU and since college have been in a book club together. If any of you readers are in a book club I'm sure you're more productive than we are. Our sessions typically spend about 5 minutes on the book and the remaining hour or two talking about our lives with copious amounts of wine.

Charlotte now lives in Fort Worth so our book club wanted to make sure we did something in Dallas to cover the east side of the metrolplex. Therefore, my friend Stephanie and I put together a "Stock the Bar" party for Charlotte and her fiance Thomas. We had a great time of food, drinks, carrot cake and a champagne toast. We also made them play the ever-so-enjoyable "newlywed game" and when they got a question wrong had to eat a piece of bubble gum. Needless to say both of their jaws were pretty sore and their sugar content was through the roof.

We all had a great time celebrating Charlotte and Thomas. Plus, they received quite a bit to stock their bar so we've requested they throw a party after the big one of course where they tie the knot.

Back To School, Back To School......

I'm seriously behind on blog posts so I've decided to roll the clock back a month or so to make some updates.

My best friend is a teacher in the Dallas area and to commemorate the new school year starting her friends threw a "Back to School" party. You had to come dressed up like you were going "back to school" like when you were a kid and your Mom would take a picture of you with your new backpack and lunchbox in front of the house. I had trouble coming up with what I wanted to wear and after much deliberation (and thanks to my curly hair) I decided to dress up like Jessie Spano from Saved by the Bell. I was rather proud of how my costume turned out and the party was such a blast!

And bonus! A guy dressed as Slater showed up so we were able to capture the perfect photo.
